The Sternberg Firearm Exhibit
Available this summer is the Sternberg Firearm Collection. This exhibit was on display last summer and is back with added Native American and pioneer artifacts. Along with a number of weapons that were not on display last season. There is a ramp to this exhibit located in the
historical limestone church, just west of the red brick building. Ramp was financed in part by The Heartland Community Foundation 2022 Spring Grant cycle.
ALL GALLERY ENTRIES ARE FREE OF CHARGE FOR SUMMER 2023!
Our Mission
The Ellis County Historical Society Museum collects, preserves, and exhibits Ellis County History for the surrounding community and its visitors.

Seasonal Giving
ECHS has recently opened an Endowment account through the Heartland Community Foundation. We want to invest in the future of the society and our opening deposit was about $3,000. We have five years to reach the $10,000 mark to make it true Endowed Fund. If you feel so inclined to help with this goal the link directly to our fund at Heartland is below. Every size gift makes a difference!
